The city of Denison, Texas, has officially kicked off its summer concert series, Music On Main. Running from June 12th through July 31st, these concerts take place every evening at 7:30 PM in Forest Park. The season opened with a stellar performance by Grammy-nominated blues artist Sue Foley, who captivated the crowd with her exceptional guitar skills and deep knowledge of music history.

A veteran performer who has shared the stage with legends like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, and Billy Gibbons, Foley brought her unique Texas-honed blues style to a captivated audience of several hundred fans. A highlight of the night was her performance of tracks from her latest album, "One Guitar Woman: A Tribute to the Female Pioneers of Guitar." She transitioned effortlessly between blues classics by icons like Memphis Minnie and Elizabeth Cotten, and her own beautiful original composition, Mediterranean Breakfast.

The evening also featured impressive performances by local talent. Nine-year-old Jaidyn Morehead from Soper, Oklahoma, opened the show with touching renditions of "Go Rest High On a Mountain" and "Whole Lotta Little." Additionally, local music champion Oliver White showcased his true professionalism, masterfully continuing his set despite a broken guitar string mid-performance.
